ORCA SCREENS

Orca partition screens divide and quiet space through visual boundy and sound absorbing soft materials. Their organic shapes infuse environments with inspiring sculptural qualities.

Orca was inspired by the experience of skipping river stones near my hometown of Loveland, Ohio. When working on the pieces my goal was to create a visually delicate metal frame within which a soft pebble-like form appeared to be floating, referencing the weightless energy a stone has when skipping across a body of water. In doing so, I was able to create objects that aligned with Memo’s desire for emotive sculptural qualities and natural references.
