Alex Brokamp is inspired by the Maya Angelou quote "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." When designing new pieces his goal is to instill a meaningful connection between object and consumer that searches for a balance between physical and emotional attraction to an object. 


Alex Brokamp's practice is always striving to further develop and foster his technical and conceptual skills within furniture, lighting, and objects by blending technology, spatial awareness, and craft with an emphasis on design innovation within our ever-changing societal landscape. His products are the result of experimenting with simple shapes that highlight interesting material and color compositions. Alex studied Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in Environmental Design (furniture & fixtures) at ArtCenter College of Design. He has worked for the brands Such + Such, Mattermade Studio, Rookwood PotteryBrendan Ravenhill, and Stuff by Andrew Neyer.
