Part of the collection Rational Objects for Irrational Thoughts, this lighting beacon is a warning sign that welcomes irrational thought processes. The piece further implies our search for patterns to appease our need for control that arises in recurrent problematic situations. Utilizing simple non-assuming forms mixed with a repetitive grid, the work aims to consume the viewer in a web of misdirection. The power cord stands in protest to the linear metal frame meandering about the piece, lost, trying to find its way.
