ALTAR’S EDGE
From the exhibition Rational Objects for Irrational Thoughts, Altar’s Edge is an open-ended proposition for speculative uses. The monolithic esoteric form paired with a delicate edge detail represents the playful idiosyncrasies exhibited in superstitious thought processes. The modestly repetitive edge details are seemingly arranged in a perceived pattern to provide a sense of comfort and control around this otherwise perplexing object. As people interact with this piece a sense of community and code is established as they work to discover its true offerings.
